14-16 Churchyard Street, St Nicholas' Church Square, Galway
Sheridans began as a Galway market stall in 1995, started by brothers Kevin and Seamus Sheridan, and grew into the flagship of a name that now carries real weight across Ireland. The shop on Churchyard Street, tucked beside St Nicholas' Church and its weekend market, is stacked with Irish and European farmhouse cheeses, cured meats, wines and larder goods. There is a wine bar and shop upstairs, looking out over the market square that started it all. It is the place locals go when they want something better than the supermarket can manage.
