Conyngham Arms Restaurant
Conyngham Arms Hotel, Main Street, Slane, Co. Meath, C15 HN52
About
The dining room of the Conyngham Arms, the restored eighteenth-century coaching inn on Main Street a few doors west of the Square. It is the one place in the village that is open for every meal of the day, every day of the week: breakfast from half seven, an all-day menu from noon, and a Sunday menu, with afternoon tea served in the hotel's library. The kitchen names its suppliers, and the Boyne Valley ones turn up across the menu, from Boyne Valley honey on the porridge to Slane Irish Whiskey in the barbecue sauce. It is a hotel restaurant rather than a destination one, which is the point: you can walk in off the Hill of Slane in boots and get fed. Book through the hotel's own dining page for dinner at weekends.
