The Village Inn at No. 8 Main Street is a family-run pub now in its fourth decade, with live music and sport on the screens, and it caters for parties and wedding afters. By day the same building runs Silly Sid's, a cafe serving breakfast, brunch and lunch from 9am to 4pm, which is also where guests staying in the rooms above the pub get their breakfast. Between the two it covers most of the day: a fry in the morning before the Hill, and a pint in the evening.
