About

Ireland's only national museum outside Dublin, set in the grounds of Turlough Park House about 8km northeast of Castlebar. It tells the story of everyday rural Irish life from 1850 to 1950, the work, homes, traditions and crafts of ordinary people, in a purpose-built museum beside a Victorian house and gardens. Admission is free.
