About

The Cushen family have been weaving at Graiguenamanagh on the River Barrow since 1778, and Cushendale is one of the last vertical woollen mills left in Ireland, spinning, dyeing and weaving all on site. The throws, blankets and scarves are the kind of thing that lasts a generation. About half an hour from the city, and a lovely run out there.
