For emergencies dial 112 or 999. The nearest Emergency Department is Cork University Hospital in Wilton, not in Carrigaline; for non-emergency illness when surgeries are closed, SouthDoc is the Cork and Kerry out-of-hours GP service (phone first). Attending an ED costs €100 without a medical card or GP referral. On the harbour and the estuary, mind the tide and keep children clear of the water at the slips and the bridge.
