Local Essentials
The practical stuff most travel sites skip. Everything you need to know before visiting Dingle, from parking to pharmacies.
Accessibility
Town
Dingle's town centre is compact and mostly flat along the harbour and Strand Street, though some older shopfronts and pubs have a step at the door.
Slea Head
The Slea Head Drive is best experienced by car; the named viewpoints have laybys but the headland walks and the beehive-hut sites are on uneven, often steep ground.
Blasket Centre
The Blasket Centre at Dún Chaoin is a modern OPW building with step-free access and accessible facilities.
For detailed accessibility on a specific venue, contact it directly; published accessibility information for the peninsula is patchy.
ATMs & Banking
AIB ATM
Main Street, Dingle
Free for most Irish and European bank cards.
Bank of Ireland ATM
Main Street, Dingle
Bike Rental
Foxy John's
The hardware-shop-and-pub on Main Street also hires and repairs bikes, a genuine Dingle institution. Bike hire is also available from outdoor operators in the town; book ahead in peak summer.

Golf
Dingle Golf Links (Ceann Sibéal)
Ballyferriter, Co. Kerry
Visitor green fees vary by season; check ahead
A links course at Ballyferriter on the far west of the peninsula, the most westerly golf course in Europe, with Atlantic and Three Sisters views. About 20 minutes west of Dingle town.
Luggage Storage
No dedicated luggage-storage office in Dingle. Most hotels and guesthouses will hold bags for guests on arrival or departure day; ask at reception.
Parking
Marina Car Park
Rate: Pay-and-display; check current tariff on the signage
Capacity: Large
On the harbour front, the most central. Fills by late morning on fine summer days and Food Festival weekend.
Mart Car Park
On the edge of the town; usually has space when the Marina is full. A short walk into the centre.
Green Street Car Park
Central, near the main shopping street.
Pet-Friendly Info
Beaches
Dogs are generally welcome on the bigger peninsula strands like Ventry and Inch out of season; check for seasonal restrictions in summer and keep dogs under control near livestock on the Slea Head farmland.
Restaurants
Many pubs and outdoor seating areas in the town are dog-friendly; ask before bringing a dog inside a restaurant.
Much of the Slea Head Drive crosses working sheep farmland, so keep dogs on a lead near stock.
Pharmacies
O'Keeffe's Pharmacy
Strand Street, Dingle, Co. Kerry, V92 NX23
On Strand Street next to Garvey's SuperValu. Closed Sundays.
Walsh's Pharmacy
Green Street, Dingle, Co. Kerry, V92 F970

Supermarkets & Groceries
Garvey's SuperValu Dingle
The Holy Ground (Holyground), Dingle, Co. Kerry
The main full supermarket in the town, good for picnic supplies before the Slea Head Drive or the Conor Pass.
Taxis & Rideshare
Dingle taxis
Several local taxi drivers operate in the town; ask at your accommodation or use the FreeNow app where coverage allows. Pre-booking is wise in peak season and late at night.
Public Toilets
Dingle Marina / harbour front
WiFi & Connectivity
Dingle Library
Free public WiFi during opening hours, on Green Street.
SIM Cards
No dedicated phone shop in Dingle. SuperValu and the supermarkets carry prepaid SIMs, but for a wider choice pick one up in Tralee or before you leave a city. Mobile coverage out on Slea Head and the Conor Pass is patchy.
