Dingle Distillery, in a converted sawmill at Milltown just west of the town, was one of the first of the new independent Irish distilleries when it opened in 2012, and it has built a serious name for its whiskey, gin and vodka. The Dingle gin in particular is now a fixture behind bars across Ireland. You can buy the bottles around the town, or take the guided distillery tour, over-18s and booking essential, which ends in a tasting. A genuine made-in-Dingle thing to bring home.
