The largest hotel in the town and its main four-star, the Dingle Skellig sits on the bay just east of the centre with sea views, a spa and an indoor pool. It opened in 1969 as the first hotel in the Gaeltacht and has a strong family focus, with a kids' club in season, which makes it the obvious base for a family weekend on the peninsula. It is a short walk or drive from the harbour and the restaurants.
