Gaby's has been the name Killarney sends you to for fish for the best part of forty years, a quiet, wood-panelled room on High Street run for decades by the Belgian-born chef Geert Maes. The lobster comes from the tank, the seafood platter is the thing to order, and the wine list is taken seriously. This is proper old-school fine dining rather than anything trend-led, dinner only, and booking ahead by phone is essential because the room is small and the regulars are loyal.
