A coaching inn on Main Street that the hotel says is over 300 years old, from the days when Keswick sat on the horse-and-carriage routes across the Lakes. Because of the age of the building its 13 bedrooms all differ in size and no two are the same. Dogs are welcome in the bar and most of the rooms. The bar and restaurant downstairs serve food daily and take walk-ins. It is family-owned and part of the Lake District Hotels group.
