Half a day in Keswick: the lake and the square

Half day, about 4 hoursYear-round

A flat morning on foot from the Market Square to the lake and back, built round the launch. It works best on the summer timetable, when the boats sail every day; on the winter timetable check that it is a sailing date first.

A day in Keswick: stones, a fell and the theatre

Full day, about 10 hoursYear-round

A longer day that climbs out of the town twice, to Castlerigg in the morning and Latrigg's bench in the afternoon, with the museum in between and the theatre to finish. Latrigg's made path starts from the Gale Road car park, so a car or a long walk is needed for that leg.
