Accessibility

Town Centre

The waterfront along West Beach and the Promenade is level and the easiest part of the town to move around, but Cobh climbs very steeply away from the harbour and the streets up to the cathedral and the Deck of Cards are hard going on foot. The waterfront car parks are close to the main attractions.

Titanic Experience

The Titanic Experience is in the original White Star Line office on Casement Square on the level waterfront; contact the venue in advance about access to the upper floors of the historic building.

Heritage Centre

The Cobh Heritage Centre is in the former Victorian railway station on Deepwater Quay, level and largely accessible, with the railway station and the free car park beside it.

Spike Island

Spike Island involves a ferry crossing and a walk up from the pier across historic fortress ground with uneven surfaces and slopes; contact the operator in advance about access.

For venue-level access, contact each venue directly. The waterfront is the most accessible part of the town; the climb to the cathedral is steep.

ATMs & Banking

Bank and SuperValu ATMs

Waterfront and Ticknock

Bank ATM

ATMs along the waterfront in the town centre and at Garvey's SuperValu in Ticknock. Card payment is accepted almost everywhere; the farmers market and some smaller stalls prefer cash.

Bike Rental

No town bike-share

There is no public bike-share scheme in Cobh. The town climbs steeply off the water, so cycling in the centre is hard going; the quieter roads around Great Island are better for confident riders.
