Murphy's Ice Cream

Strand Street, Dingle, Co. Kerry

← All local producers

About

Murphy's makes its ice cream in Dingle from the milk of rare Kerry cows and sea salt harvested from Dingle Bay seawater, and the original Strand Street scoop shop is where it started in 2000 before it spread to Dublin and beyond. The flavours are the draw: Dingle sea salt, Irish brown bread, and a Dingle gin sorbet made with the local distillery's gin. It is a proper made-in-Dingle producer rather than a franchise, and the queue out the door on a summer evening is part of the experience.
